A Butler Tennessee Bed and Breakfast Inn
lodging getaway near Lake Watauga, Boone and Bristol.
The Iron Mountain Inn Bed and Breakfast's unique location makes it the perfect secluded vacation getaway in Butler, TN "the quiet corner" of Northeast Tennessee. Here on the mountain top, this relaxing and peaceful log home B&B means no crowds, no congestion, just a place to renew your soul, clear the cobwebs, and enjoy the magic of the mountains.

You choose the quiet of the mountains for your special time together because our Butler Tennessee mountain location is a "getaway" not "faraway". Perhaps you'll enjoy our 2 mile mountain hike, exploring the mountains on horseback, or curl up with a good book, it's up to you! You might even choose to stay in bed all day. It's your vacation - we are here with our "Pampering Perfected" service to help you relax and forget the work-a-day cares and frustrations.
Your mountain day starts with coffee and a sweet upstairs - don the terry robes we provide, fill your coffee cup and slowly begin the transition from sleep to fully awake.
Then come downstairs for breakfast - share it with your friends. (The squirrel's name is George.)
Each day we strive to live up to our slogan, "Pampering Perfected". For our guests, this means anticipating your needs and making sure that your stay with us is "just right". Maybe this is one of the reasons we have many repeat customers and why May 2010 we will be starting our 13th year in business.
Speaking of 13, starting in May check our specials page for "Lucky 13" specials! After all, that's a baker's dozen, a lucky number, and when you visit…learn more about the number 13.
After breakfast, your host, Vikki Woods, is delighted to share her love of the area and help you plan an itinerary to explore the Tri-State region. Back road scenic drives, hiking the Appalachian Trail, visiting the Butler Museum to learn the story of "the town that wouldn't drown", attending a performance at Heritage Hall in Mountain City, or enjoying the many festivals held each year in Boone, Butler, Blowing Rock, Damascus, or Abingdon.
Having traveled widely, Vikki enjoys finding "off the beaten track" unique activities for her guests. Discover "her" mountains, and if you are thinking of retiring, using her extensive knowledge of the area, Vikki can make suggestions of sections of Johnson County to explore with our luxurious Tennessee Bed and Breakfast as your home base.
